Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training
29 CFR 1910.120, 29 CFR 1926.65
HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) is a requirement under OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.65 for all employees who may be involved in hazardous waste removal, treatment, storage or disposal. This includes, but is not limited to, waste water workers, contaminated soil remediation workers, underground tank removal personnel and HAZMAT Teams. Managers and supervisors on hazardous waste sites are also required to take the HAZWOPER 40 Hour Initial Training as part of their more extensive curriculum.
Experienced instructors will guide your employees through the maze of regulations regarding hazardous waste. Students will learn in layman’s terms the role of chemical behavior and properties, Incident Command, Contingency Planning and Emergency Response.
A practical hands-on exercise is included on the last day emphasizing knowledge learned and team work approach. A question and answer session is provided after the exercise as a learning critique. The practical exercise and critique session help to provide students with a better knowledge and confidence level in the event of an actual workplace incident.
HAZWOPER training is required to be refreshed annually to maintain training compliance.
Our HAZWOPER Refresher training class is geared towards the subjects your employees most need. Why pay for your employees to be trained on chlorine handling if all your employees deal with is paint thinner? We believe in matching the course with the student.
